The Graduation Ceremony of the Aviation Fuel Handling and Management (AFHM) Course 2/26 was held on 8 July 2026 at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna. The course, which was inaugurated on 16 Apr 26, was organized to enhance the capacity of Nigerian Army Aviation (NA Avn) fuel handlers through specialized training in aviation fuel handling and management. A total of 5 officers and 20 soldiers drawn from the Nigrrian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) successfully completed the 3-month course.
The Commander 71 Supply and Transport Brigade, Brig Gen B Yusuf, had the honour and privilege of representing the Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST), Maj Gen ND Shagaya at the graduation ceremony. The Comdt AFIT, AVM Adeniran Kolade Ademuwagun ably represented by the Daputy Commandant AVM O Ubadike, congratulated the graduands on the successful completion of the intensive training programme.
In his remarks, he congratulated the graduands for their resilience, discipline and commitment throughout the duration of the course. He charged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and safety in the handling and management of aviation fuel while applying the knowledge and skills acquired towards enhancing the operational effectiveness of NA Avn. He further urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the NACST and to contribute meaningfully to the attainment of the NA's operational objectives. He noted that the successful conduct of the course further reinforces the enduring partnership between the NA and the NAF in the development of critical aviation logistics capabilities.
The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates to the graduands and the presentation of a award to distinguished students. Some pictures during the event are attached.
